People been waiting on this one.

Previous releases, "Inertia" and "Today, Tomorrow & The Day After That", crept into our minds 3 years ago, filling our heads with dusty, psychedelic visions of a faraway land. Each movement lovingly crafted and shaped from fragments of vinyl records, giving life to long forgotten snatches of audio history.

Never one to toot his own horn, Mikey has remained silent since.

Until now.

This is both the beginning and the end. A document of one man's journey on the road less travelled, forging ahead with a new vision of modern beat-making. Here, the crackly records are augmented with an always subtle digital flourish, a rebuttal to those who wallow in lo-fi, retro fetishism and to those for whom the new is old after 3 listens.

"Snipe In The Grass" is steeped in the vintage hip-hop traditions of vinyl culture and modernist juxtapositions, yet is neither traditional nor futuristic, existing in it's own timeless universe, and merely hints at the musical landscapes to come from the soul of Mikey Fingers.

Mikey Fingers has been fondling records since 2004, rising to notoriety with turntable band Vince Mack Mahon. Since then he has performed sporadically with Tweek as Tuphat Paddys and with Limerick-based band The Hip Neck Blues Collective. He has released two EPs for Community Skratch, "Inertia" and "Today, Tomorrow & The Day After That".
